DIRECTOR - Pepe Jon Chavez
Pepe Jon Chavez (Lima, Peru / U.S. West Coast)
Director of “Happy Feet” Complete Soccer Education!!!
Pepe Jon, 32, is currently the Head Coach of the Men’s and
Women’s Soccer Programs at Bethel University where he has
served for 8 years. He has in the past trained with Seattle and
internationally in Peru and Mexico. With 24 years playing
experience he has coached players of all ages and skill levels
including a 2005 U-16 STATE Cup Championship, 05, 06 U-17, 08
U-19 USA Cup Championships, and 2 consecutive boys U-19
STATE Championships in Seattle, WA. Highly enthusiastic and
fun, his passion for the game brings out the best in players of all
ages and skill levels. He and his wife Rachael live in Plymouth
with their 2 daughters Arabella, and Arria Marie.

CO-DIRECTOR - Rachael Chavez
Holds scoring records at both Wayzata high school where she
was the leading goal scorer as well as at the University of
Minnesota. While playing at the U of M she earned All-Big Ten
honors and was 2nd in goals scored in the Big-Ten conference
for the 2002 season for which she was named the Gophers M.V.
P. Rachael has been coaching players of all ages and skill levels
for the past 7 years and enters her 3rd. year as the assistant
coach with the Bethel University Women’s Program. She has in
the past served 2 years as the assistant varsity coach at
Wayzata high school. She also has trained and coached a
Wayzata U-18 Premier team for the last 2 years. She and her
husband, Pepe Jon, daughters Arabella, and Arria Marie live in
Plymouth.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - Ryan McKellips
Ryan McKellips a recent Bethel University graduate with a degree
in business finance. Ryan enters his 5th. Year of coaching for
“Happy Feet” after playing 4 years at Bethel where he was a
captain. He is currently the J.V. Girls coach at Minnetonka high
school and has a big heart for the kids. He is a very enthusiastic
coach who loves the game of soccer. Working with both boys
and girls of all ages and skill levels he has trained and coached
several successful teams throughout Minnesota.

Matt Duer a graduate and 2 year All State player at Meadow
Creek High School is currently playing at Bethel University where
he is finishing a degree in Business / Sports Science and
Coaching. Matt has a big heart for the kids and is an enthusiastic
professional coach who loves the game of soccer and has
coached boys & girls from U-9 to U-18. He has been with “Happy
Feet” for over 4 years now and has served as the Assistant
coach of the state champion Maplebrook U-16 Premier boy’s
team for 2 years! This next year he will continue with Maplebrook
as the Associate Head Coach of the now U-18 Premier boys team.
Creek High School is currently playing at Bethel University where
